Privacy Policy — Shaurryan
Last updated: 24 July 2026 · Applies to the Shaurryan mobile application (Android package com.shaurryatele.console).
This Privacy Policy explains how Shaurrya Teleservices Private Limited ("Shaurrya Teleservices", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in the Shaurryan mobile application (the "App"). Shaurryan is a workforce application provided to authorized employees and partners of Shaurrya Teleservices. You must sign in with a Shaurrya Teleservices account to use it.
Location notice: When you are signed on for field duty, Shaurryan collects your device location in the background to record your work journey — the distance you travel and the sites you visit — and to geo-tag work you submit. Background location tracking runs only while you are on duty and stops when you sign off.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Your name, email address, phone number, role, and assigned circle/region, from your Shaurrya Teleservices account.
Location data (precise and background)
- Your device's precise location (GPS latitude/longitude, accuracy, speed, heading) collected while you are signed on for field duty.
- Location is collected in the background (even when the App is not open) only during an active field-duty session, so your journey and site visits can be recorded. Collection stops when you sign off.
- Your saved home and work locations, if you choose to set them, to report how far your sign-on/sign-off is from home and office.
- Location captured at the moment you take a survey, audit, or lead photo/video, which is stamped onto the media.
Content you create
- Site surveys, requisitions, acquisitions, site audits, leads, tasks, conveyance and leave records you submit.
- Photos and videos you capture (e.g. tower and equipment images/clips), which are geo-stamped with location, address and time.
Device and diagnostic information
- Device model/name, platform, app version, battery level and charging state, and network/connectivity type — used to make field tracking reliable and to power diagnostics.
- A push-notification token used to deliver notifications to your device.
Usage and log data
- Actions you take in the App (e.g. sign-on/off, submissions, approvals) and associated timestamps, kept as activity and audit logs for security and accountability.
2. How we use information
- To operate core features: field duty and journey tracking, site lifecycle, audits, leads, tasks, conveyance and leave.
- To calculate distance travelled, detect site visits, and geo-stamp submitted work.
- To route work for approval and send you notifications about assignments and approvals.
- To secure the service, prevent misuse, and maintain audit trails.
- To provide support and improve reliability and performance.
We process this information to perform our agreement with our workforce and for our legitimate business interest in managing field operations. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. How location is used and controlled
- Background location is used solely to record your field journey (route, distance, speed) and the sites you visit while on duty.
- While tracking is active, Android shows a persistent notification indicating the App is using location.
- You control location through your device permissions and by signing off duty. Denying "Allow all the time" limits background tracking; the App will still function but journey accuracy will be reduced.
4. Sharing and third-party services
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App, under agreements that limit their use of the data:
- Cloud hosting & storage — Amazon Web Services (AWS), for our servers and media storage (region: India).
- Maps & geocoding — Google Maps Platform, to convert coordinates to addresses and snap routes to roads.
- Push notifications — Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, to deliver notifications to your device.
- Messaging — MSG91, for SMS/WhatsApp notifications where applicable.
- Authentication — Microsoft Entra ID, where single sign-on is used.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Journey, audit and activity records are retained for operational and compliance purposes. Deactivated devices' push tokens are removed.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and role-based permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and continuously improve our safeguards.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask questions about this policy, by contacting us at the address below. As Shaurryan is an employer-provided application, some records may be retained where we have a legal or legitimate business reason to do so.
8. Children
Shaurryan is intended for authorized adult employees and partners of Shaurrya Teleservices. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
